December came fast and busy with the Giving Tree, Christmas, and family visits. I knew that January would come, resolutions would rain down in social media, and the January Whole30 would tempt me hard. I want to be done with Whole30, I want to embrace the myriad of information I’ve learned, and stop abusing the program as an easy out for living an imbalanced life (solely my experience, I am a “moderator” in the moderator/absainer model, and for me, it’s long overdo to keep living life without my W30 training wheels).
My brain began turning over ideas. For better or worse, I love a “challenge”. I even toyed with, for a hot second, having a blog dedicated to trying out 30 day challenges every month. For me it’s fun, hard, exciting, and keeps me ticking away at my Big Goals. But living life in one challenge after another doesn’t work to cultivate the kind of change I am craving, embracing, and seeing in myself.
Over the past few months I’ve experienced a huge shift. The body positive, self love, and radical acceptance I’ve always craved has began to click into my reality in a whole new way. In a way that isn’t just Trying, it’s Succeeding.
I want to share that. I want to chase it down further, and hold it so tight. I began to imagine what a full month of thoughtfully embracing that would look like. Not a few tips and tricks here and there, but a mindful practice of abundant self love in all forms – mental and physical.
And, Abundant30 sifted to the top.
Here is a quickie excerpt about it from the Facebook Group, where it will be primarily run. I’ll also be sharing some on IG and the live videos on YouTube (the first video will be embedded here too for you!).

Abundant30 isn’t a specific meal plan. It’s embracing the abundance of food that is nourishing to you, body and self esteem. For me it means cutting out dairy, peanuts, and sugar. But for you it may mean sitting and thoughtfully eating your meals, or a Whole30, or vegan meals, or a big ass piece of cake eaten with intention.
Abundant30 isn’t about perfection. It’s about everyday being a day where you can choose to serve yourself best. It means that you set that intention in the morning, and meet each meal with purpose alongside grace and forgiveness. It’s aiming high, and still loving yourself on the days you miss. And knowing that you don’t need to jump off of the deep end after that; your next meal is another place that balance is yours to be embraced.
Abundant30 is about you. Not about who you follow on Facebook/IG and their meal plan. Not about depravation. Or hours of exercise that you don’t enjoy. It’s about writing down what you love, and finding the ways that you can embrace that into self care.
Abundant30 is still a little tough. It’s about finding what Self control feels like, feeling it and naming it when it happens (be proud of yourself) embracing how capable of it you are. And self control isn’t just about Foods. It can be about negative thoughts or self-harming behaviors, or shopping too much, anything that you use to cope instead of “feeling what you’re feeling, when you’re feeling it”.
Abundant30 is manifesting that you’re worth an abundant life. It’s mantras, resting in community, and support when needed. It’s reaching out. And most of all it’s about retraining self-hate into a BIG AND FAT AND JUICY, radical self love.
I’m so excited. For you. And for me.

And I am so excited! The ball is rolling and we’re discussing habits vs. intuitive eating, how to check in with your body, what is self control and what is depravation, and so much more. This whole thing is becoming bigger, more thoughtful, and what I have dreamt of giving to women for ages and ages. If you’d like to join in on Facebook, you can do so via this link. Or follow along on IG with #abundant30.
I’m really excited. Already feeling more connected to my heart, community, and the power that is Women Empowering Women.
